Yep, I did it - I downloaded the Office 2007 beta before it becomes a paid download tomorrow (Wednesday). And is it cool or what! So far I’ve only tested Word 2007 (which I’m using to write this post), and just that is enough to get me excited. Can’t wait to test out the rest!

Wow! It actually worked for you! I had lots of problems getting it working; and once it was working all my Word-written posts were dated in 1970!

Well… *after* I posted it I found out that it didn’t work so great after all: as you had experienced, the timestamp is set to zero, which puts the post date back in the late 60s/early 70s, so I had to go and fix that; plus there isn’t any support for WordPress categories, so I had to tag the post manually.
But still, it’s beta software, so I was willing to deal with the time/category inconveniences.
It’s a neat idea, but I’m not going to be using it regularly until they get the bugs ironed out … hopefully by the time of the final release!
